The June 27 benefit kicks off a series of homebody’s efforts to ensure the continuation of Reel Affirmations, that night donating 10 percent of all sales to Reel Affirmations. And, for two weeks, through July 11, 2009, everyone coming into the store to make a donation of $25 or more will receive a coupon worth 10 percent off future purchases.

Reel Affirmations is now celebrating its 19th anniversary as one of the largest LGBT film festivals and a must-stop venue for filmmakers. Reel Affirmations 19 will show more than 100 films over ten days at the world-class Shakespeare Theatre Company at the Harman Center for the Arts, AFI Silver, and Goethe Institut.
Washington City Paper just ranked Reel Affirmations in the top three among ALL film festivals in DC.
